First Aider Recertification – Early Childhood (6h)

CPR/AED — Introduction to CPR and primary assessment:

• Understand the content and objectives of the training, the challenges of CPR and airway clearance

• Awareness of the importance of CPR maneuvers, national guidelines, causes of cardiac arrest, angina and stroke

• Quickly recognize the type of victim, confirm breathing and pulse, recognize cardiorespiratory arrest

• Apply proper intervention techniques according to the first aider's primary assessment

Chest compressions — Ventilations — Defibrillation:

• Proper chest compression techniques for adult, child and infant according to the latest national standards

• Proper ventilation techniques — mouth-to-mouth, pocket mask, face shield — for all victims

• Safe use of the AED, its risks and its particularities in infants

• Mobile app: assistance in real emergencies and during practice sessions

Demonstrations and practice — CPR adult, child, infant / Airway clearance:

• Master the complete CPR sequence with AED for adult, child and infant (1-rescuer)

• Airway clearance in adult, child, victims of different morphologies and infant — conscious or unconscious

First Aid – Anaphylaxis:

• Definition of anaphylaxis, role of the responder, allergens, signs and symptoms, physiological reactions

• Effects of epinephrine, injection techniques, clinical protocol, how auto-injectors work and associated risks

• Interpret a clinical situation and master a complete intervention for an anaphylactic victim

Medical approach and primary assessment: safely assess the scene, level of consciousness, respiratory and circulatory functions, interpret the level of orientation and direct to the appropriate intervention protocols.

Preamble: principles of trauma intervention, do not move a victim except in special situations with uncontrolled risk.

Approach and primary assessment – TRAUMA: hazards, cervical/spinal immobilization, primary assessment, management of vital functions (A, B, C).

• Awareness of continuing education and the importance of refreshing skills
