In Mexico, the General Law on the Provision of Services for the Attention, Care and Integral Development of Children, its Regulation and the IMSS norm governing daycare operation require staff to be trained in first aid and civil protection. In practice, a newly hired worker receives immediate induction on starting and must complete official training within the first month. The rules set no fixed number of hours or share of staff, but pediatric first-aid training is a condition of operation overseen by federal authorities, the IMSS and state law.

Mexican childcare law requires a first-aid kit and first-aid-trained staff, but it is silent on anaphylaxis and adrenaline, and no auto-injectors are marketed in the country—allergists prescribe adrenaline vials with a syringe. Best practice is to recognise a severe allergic reaction early, hold written family authorization for any of the child's own medication and store it safely, labelled and out of reach.
